Rebecca Smith
MSN, APRN, FNP-C
- I am a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Obesity Medicine and Weight Management at Open Minds. I am dedicated to providing compassionate, holistic, patient centered, evidence-based care for individuals seeking to improve their health, wellness, and relationship with their body.
I understand that weight is influenced by complex factors—including metabolism, hormones, stress, medical history, emotional health, lifestyle patterns, and life experiences. I approach weight management as a medical condition rather than a personal failing, offering personalized treatment plans that honor each individual’s story, goals, and strengths.
My practice includes comprehensive health assessments, metabolic screening, nutrition and lifestyle guidance, medication-assisted weight management (including FDA-approved therapies), and ongoing support designed to empower patients throughout their journey. My philosophy centers around partnership: listening deeply, educating clearly, and walking alongside patients with encouragement and respect. As both a clinician and wellness advocate, I am passionate about helping patients gain confidence, improve energy, reduce health risks, and experience sustainable, meaningful change—not just temporary results. At Open Minds, my mission is to create a supportive environment where patients feel seen, valued, and capable of success. I welcome individuals at any stage of their journey and believe it is never too early or too late to begin caring for yourself in a new way. More Information
