Everyone needs help sometimes.

A few common mental health disorders:

Anxiety

Everyone experiences some level of anxiety. From simple worries like starting your first day at a new job to more extreme worries which the Mayo Clinic describes as, “intense, excessive and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations”, anxiety can be controlled with either medication, therapy, or both!
  • Maybe you just need to learn a few grounding techniques to get you back to your base level.
  • Maybe your brain doesn’t produce enough serotonin, leading to a lack of neurotransmitters and increasing anxiety or depression.
  • Maybe you have had a trauma you need to work through.

No matter your level of anxiety, help and guidance towards living a better life is available.

Depression

Depression is a debilitating disease that can have debilitating serious adverse affects on quality of life. The Mayo Clinic defines depression as “a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. It affects how you feel, think, and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. You may have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities, and sometimes you may feel as if life isn't worth living.” The good news is that there are proven treatments to keep depression at bay so you can live a full, happy life.
  • Maybe you need to face past traumas.
  • Maybe you need medication to help boost your brain’s neurotransmitters.

No matter the extent of your depression, there are ways to customize your treatment plan to fit your specific needs.

PTSD

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a common and misconceived disorder. Many people believe that PTSD only occurs with people who have been to war, however, PTSD occurs in anyone who has experienced a traumatic event. According to the Mayo Clinic, "post-traumatic stress disorder is a mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event - either experiencing it or witnessing it. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares, and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event."

  • Maybe you don't realize that you have PTSD from a traumatic event.
  • Maybe your PTSD is showing up as another disorder, and no treatment is working for you.

No matter who you are or the extent of the trauma you have experienced, there are ways to work toward healing that trauma.

ADHD

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects millions of people around the world. It is characterized by symptoms such as inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity that interfere with daily functioning and can lead to difficulties in relationships, academic and work performance, and overall quality of life.

According to the Mayo Clinic, ADHD is diagnosed when a person exhibits a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with daily functioning in at least two settings, such as school, work, or home. The diagnosis is based on a comprehensive evaluation that considers medical, psychological, and educational information.

"ADHD can be difficult to diagnose and even harder to understand, but with proper treatment, people with ADHD can lead successful, productive lives." - Mayo Clinic.

  • Maybe you feel frustrated that you can't complete a task.
  • Maybe your ADHD medication is out of balance.

No matter who you are or the type of ADHD you present, there are ways to learn to live a productive life.
